C. Bradley "Brad" Kaye joined the City of Midland as Director of Planning and Community Development in 2012 and was promoted to Assistant City Manager for Development Services in 2015, then to City Manager in August 2017. Previously, he spent his professional career in urban planning: first in the private sector as a community planner for Gourdie-Fraser, Inc., and then as the Director of Planning for the Charter Township of Garfield, both in Traverse City.
Before moving to Michigan, Kaye served the Regional Municipality of Haldimand-Norfolk, Ontario, for 11 years as a development supervisor, development planner, and contract development planner.
Kaye holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Honors, Urban and Regional Planning, from the University of Waterloo and has completed the Leadership for the 21st Century executive education program through the Harvard Kennedy School.
