Why do Midland County residents have to pay for disposal of certain wastes if we pay taxes already?
The landfill is not supported by tax dollars. The landfill operates solely on waste disposal fees collected at the gatehouse near the front entrance to the landfill. Midland County residents may dispose of up to 3 cubic yards of general refuse and yard waste for no charge once per month per address.
