November 18, 2016 – All City of Midland offices will be closed on November 24 and 25 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Refuse and recyclables will not be collected on Thursday, November 24 or Friday, November 25. Residents with Thursday, November 24 refuse and Week 3 recycling collections should place items at the curb on Wednesday, November 23. Friday, November 25 refuse and Week 3 recycling collections will take place on Monday, November 28. Place refuse and recycling at the curb by 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection.
The City’s Sanitary Landfill will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The landfill will be open Friday, November 25 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday, November 26, from 8:30 a.m. to Noon. November 26 will be the last Saturday morning landfill hours until March 2017.
The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The Library will close early, at 5 p.m., both Wednesday, November 23 and Friday, November 25. Regular hours will be maintained for the rest of the weekend.
Dial-A-Ride Transportation System (DART) will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 25. DART will maintain normal Saturday and Sunday hours.
Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 25, but will operate as normal on Saturday and Sunday.
