[ARCHIVED] City Seeking Best Photos of Midland

September 11, 2015 – There’s just one more week to enter your favorite snapshots of life in our community in the City of Midland’s annual Calendar Photo Contest. The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 18.

The 2016 City Calendar and Services Guide will include pics of the city of Midland in all its glory. Individuals are invited to submit color photos of Midland events, scenic or historic places around town, or people at work or play in our community. Photos should identify what makes our community unique.

A maximum of two (2) photos per person will be accepted. In order to keep the calendar fresh and reflective of our recent past, photos should be no more than three years old. All pics must be submitted as color originals on photo paper or in digital form via the City’s website ( Calendar photos will be selected based on originality, creativity, and quality of reproduction. Photos received – whether selected for the calendar or not – become the property of the City of Midland and may be used in various City communications to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of Midland.

Photo entries will be accepted at the City Manager’s Office until 5 p.m., Friday, September 18. Photographers whose work is selected for the calendar will be notified by mail in late November.

On our website, use our online form for digital submissions. Or, pick up a hard copy form at Midland City Hall and the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library.
