August 22, 2015 – Send us your photos of Midland in all its glory, and one or more could be selected to appear in the 2016 City of Midland calendar.
The City’s annual Community Photo Contest has begun! Color photos submitted by amateur photographers during the four-week contest could grace next year’s calendar. Photos should feature Midland events, people at work or play in our community, and scenic or historic places around town. Photos from all four seasons are welcome.
A maximum of two (2) photos per person will be accepted. In order to keep the calendar fresh and reflective of our recent past, photos should be no more than three years old. All pics must be submitted as color originals on photo paper or in digital form via the City’s website (www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/citycalendar). Calendar photos will be selected based on originality, creativity, and quality of reproduction. Photos received – whether selected for the calendar or not – become the property of the City of Midland and may be used in various City communications to showcase the beauty and uniqueness of Midland.
Photo entries will be accepted through 5 p.m. on Friday, September 18. Photographers whose work is selected for the calendar will be notified by mail by the end of November.
On our website, use our online form for digital submissions. Or, pick up a hard copy form at Midland City Hall and the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library.
The 2016 City Calendar and Services Guide will be mailed to Midland residents in December 2015.
