[ARCHIVED] Road Construction to Impact Traffic at Eastman and N. Saginaw Roads

August 4, 2015 – From Monday, August 10 until Labor Day, motorists should expect long delays when crossing Eastman Avenue at its intersection with N. Saginaw Road while work continues on the Eastman reconstruction project.

During work, Eastman from Sugnet to 500’ north of Saginaw Rd. will be reduced from five to two lanes of traffic. Signal timings will be adjusted to allow for all turning movements; however, long traffic backups are expected on Eastman due to the lane reductions.

This work represents the second of a three-phase Michigan Department of Transportation project. The third and final phase, involving reconstruction of the southbound lanes of Eastman, will take place between early September and early November. We appreciate your patience as MDOT continues reconstructing this 50-year-old roadway.

As the project continues, information will be posted on the City of Midland Facebook and Twitter pages. Like us at facebook.com/MidlandConstruction and follow us at twitter.com/cityofmidlandmi for updates.

For more information, contact MDOT at 989-773-7756.
