Open Vacancy on Downtown Development Authority Board

November 10, 2023 – The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is seeking applicants to fill a board vacancy with a term ending May 1, 2027.  Applicants should have an interest in helping to promote a thriving and vibrant downtown district.  Applicants who own a business or property owners located in the downtown are encouraged to apply, but it is not a requirement to serve. The Downtown District generally spans from Jerome Street to State Street from Indian Street to Main Street.  Applications will be accepted through Friday, December 1. 

The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is a body created under authority of P.A. 197 of 1975 to prevent deterioration in business districts, to create and implement development plans, to issue bonds, and to utilize tax increment financing to improve the downtown district. This board meets bi-monthly on the second Wednesday of odd months at 3 p.m.  Appointments are made to four-year terms.
