[ARCHIVED] Downtown Midland to Host Roundtables on Strategic Plan

September 8, 2023 – Downtown Midland business owners, residents, visitors, and the general public: Get ready to discuss your ideas! The Midland Downtown Development Authority (DDA) invites you to engage in an upcoming roundtable event to share input on programs and projects that should be considered in the next Downtown Midland Strategic Plan.

Downtown Midland’s Strategic Plan is the guiding document used by the City of Midland and the DDA to ensure that projects and programs offered by the district further Downtown Midland’s mission to foster a dynamic downtown environment that promotes economic growth and social interaction. The current strategic plan calls for improving the economic sustainability of the district, enhancing social interaction opportunities, and developing critical infrastructure.

Roundtables will be held on the following dates:

  • Downtown Midland business and property owners: Wednesday, September 20 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
  • Downtown Midland residents, visitors, and the general public: Thursday, September 21 from 6 – 7:30 p.m.

DDA staff and consultants from community planning firm McKenna will lead the roundtables. Information gathered will build upon the results of public surveys and in-person feedback collected earlier this summer and will be shared with the DDA to help develop Downtown Midland’s next long-range strategic plan.
