[ARCHIVED] Public Invited to Celebrate Center City Phase I Completion

The 8-foot pathway along S. Saginaw Road with new lighting and outlawn aesthetics

September 8, 2023 – The Center City Authority and the City of Midland invite the public to celebrate the completion of Phase I of the Center City Redevelopment Plan with a community celebration later this month.

The celebration will begin on Thursday, September 21 at 4 p.m. in front of Village Green, 715 S. Saginaw Road. Remarks from district stakeholders and City officials will kick off the event, followed by a walking tour of the district to enjoy the new 8-foot pathways, street trees, and upgraded aesthetics added along S. Saginaw Road from Patrick Road to Dartmouth Drive. Parking for the event will be available at Village Green and the adjacent lot at 725 S. Saginaw Road.            

Phase II of the Center City Redevelopment Plan, which includes S. Saginaw Road from Dartmouth to Manor Drive and the Ashman Circle, is anticipated to begin moving forward in 2024.
