[ARCHIVED] Road, Tridge Closures for River Days Festival

Traffic control order for Riverdays Fireworks

August 3, 2023 – To provide a safe launching area for the annual Midland Area River Days Festival fireworks display, St. Charles Street and Towsley Street will be closed from 6 a.m. on Saturday, August 5 to 6 a.m. on Sunday, August 6. The Chippewa Trail between the Tridge and Whitman Drive, including the Chippewa Trail leg of the Tridge and the Chippewa Banks Disc Golf Course, will also be closed during this time.

 Ashman and Wyman Streets will be closed to vehicle traffic at the Farmers Market circle daily from 10 a.m. – midnight through Sunday, August 6 to accommodate the festival.  

For the safety and enjoyment of all spectators, personal fireworks including sparklers, firecrackers, and other items will be prohibited in City parks. Please properly dispose of all trash items and do not leave them behind. As an additional safety measure, please consider leaving pets at home. Midland Police Department will patrol nearby parks during the fireworks show.
