[ARCHIVED] Phase Two of Eastman Project Begins

June 5, 2015 – Starting Monday, June 8, Eastman Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction from Saginaw Road to Indian Street while construction crews install underground utilities. During work, Buttles Street will remain closed from Eastman to Jerome with two-way traffic allowed on Indian to accommodate traffic in the area. Work is expected to be complete by early September.

This work marks the beginning of the second phase of a three-phase Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) reconstruction project on Eastman Avenue. Phase one involving Buttles and Indian streets, is expected to be complete two weeks ahead of schedule, by the end of June.

As the project progresses, information will be posted on the City of Midland Facebook and Twitter pages. Like us at facebook.com/MidlandConstruction and follow us at twitter.com/cityofmidlandmi for updates.

For more information, contact MDOT at 989-773-7756.
