[ARCHIVED] City Receiving Requests for Sidewalk Maintenance

May 29, 2015 – The City Council has allocated $250,000 for sidewalk repair in the recently adopted 2015-2016 City of Midland budget. Of that amount, $80,000 will be directed towards sidewalk maintenance on streets scheduled for repair in the upcoming year, and $170,000 will be utilized for select repair requests by citizens.

Citizen sidewalk repair requests will be accepted until Tuesday, June 30. All requests received will be reviewed by City staff and prioritized. Sidewalks that make the final list based on priority will then be repaired later this summer.

To submit a sidewalk repair request online, visit www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/publicservices and click on the Sidewalk Repair Request button. You may also submit your request by contacting the Public Services Office at 989-837-6900.

City Council will consider the final list of prioritized sidewalk repairs at the Council meeting scheduled for Monday, July 27.
