Sewer Cleaning Project Begins October 31

October 28, 2022 – Beginning Monday, October 31, crews from Monchilov Sewer Services will begin work to clean City sewer lines in preparation for a citywide sewer lining project, a component of the Concept 5 Sewer Improvement Plan.

Crews will begin working in the northwest corner of the city on Monday and will move from west to east in quadrants until all areas have been completed. Once cleaning has been completed in each area, Insituform Technologies will return to install lining intended to repair existing cracks, reduce inflow and infiltration (I&I), and extend the overall life of the sewer system. Additional information on start date and locations for the sewer lining project will be released once available. The contractors involved will be communicating directly with residents in areas where the work is being performed.

The entire cleaning and lining process is expected to last approximately 12 months. Crews will be working in the roadway, so motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving in areas where work is underway.
