[ARCHIVED] Frightful and Family-Friendly Fun at Boo Bash

October 14, 2022 – Downtown Midland plans to offer something sweet and scary for everyone at Boo Bash, its annual Halloween-themed event on Friday, October 28 from 6 p.m. to midnight.

From 6 – 8 p.m., goblins of all ages can enjoy treats – no tricks! – including trick-or-treating, balloon art by Jewls the Clown and Toothpick, spooky mini golf, candy cornhole, outdoor Jenga, fall-themed board games, and a boo-tiful photo backdrop created by The Rebel Mamas. A kid-friendly costume party and contest will be held in a tent on McDonald Street with prizes from Downtown businesses. Blue Crow Talent will provide a live fire performance in the intersection of Main and McDonald streets, weather permitting.

At 9 p.m., Main Street comes alive – or undead – as local DJ act Partyfam spins spooky tunes at the Grave Rave until midnight. Select Downtown establishments will host a Downtown Drink-or-Treat featuring specialty food and beverage options for purchase. Come dressed to impress for an adults-only costume contest with prizes from Downtown businesses.

Proper Taco – Gladys and Sawadee food trucks will be downtown on Main Street during the event.

Independent Community Living will host an accessible and disability-friendly trick-or-treat option from 6 – 8 p.m. in the parking lot of its building at 233 E. Larkin Street, located just a block away from the hussle and bussle of Main Street. The closest parking can be found on the street or in the Larkin Parking Garage just across the street.

Boo Bash is made possible with support from its ghoulishly great sponsors: Midland Ford Lincoln, Horizon Bank, Molasses Smokehouse and Bar, Smith’s Flowers and Gifts, and Sound Productions.

Please note that this event's activities, games, food, drinks, and candy are available on a first-come, first-served basis. This is an outdoor event, so please dress accordingly. In the event of inclement weather, the event or some activities may be canceled.
