October 14, 2022 – Residents who have a passion for recreation and an affinity for quality of life amenities are invited to apply for an open position on the City’s Parks and Recreation Commission.
The Parks and Recreation Commission currently has a vacancy for one citizen-at-large position with a term expiring June 30, 2023.
The Parks & Recreation Commission advises the City Council on Parks and Recreation matters. The Commission considers and studies the reasonable needs of recreational facilities and activities in which the City might properly participate and recommends to the City Council annual fee adjustments for recreation services. The Commission meets 8 times per year on either the first Tuesday or Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. Terms last three years.

Ellsworth Street, Midland, MI 48640; or by placing the application inside an envelope and putting it into the secure drop box located inside the front doors of City Hall. Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, October 28.
Applicants must be City of Midland residents. No previous experience or professional experience is required to serve; however, applicants must be able to attend the scheduled meetings. Any applicants who have previously applied for a board or commission vacancy are asked to submit a new application.
