[ARCHIVED] Parks & Recreation Presents 'Frankenstein' Drive-In Movie

Frankenstein creeping through a dark wooded forest

October 7, 2022  Midland Parks and Recreation is frightfully excited to terrify audiences in a spooky pre-Halloween celebration on Saturday, October 22.

Fright lovers are invited to a free carpool screening of Boris Karloff’s thriller Frankenstein on Saturday, October 22 at Stratford Woods Park. The movie will begin at 7:30 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be screened at Central Auditorium. For cancellation information, viewers can call the Parks and Recreation Rainout Line at 989-399-0506.

Viewers will have two choices for watching the movie: stay in their cars and listen via their car stereo or (if you dare!) bring blankets and chairs to sit in the parking lot. This event is open to all ages; however, viewer discretion is advised as it may be too scary for young children.

Stratford Woods Park is located at 3922 E. Ashman Street in Midland. For more information, contact Parks and Recreation at recreation@midland-mi.org or by phone at 989-837-6930.
