[ARCHIVED] Main Street Glow, River Days After Party Coming Next Week

July 29, 2022 – Downtown Midland’s Main Street is the place to be during the first weekend in August as two exciting events come together for free, family-friendly fun!

Gather in Downtown Midland on Thursday, August 4 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. as Midland Area River Days Festival kicks off with Main Street Glow. Families are invited to shop and dine in Downtown Midland as the hot air balloon baskets line Main Street for a special burner glow. See the balloon baskets up close, meet the balloonists, enjoy music provided by Sound Productions, and enjoy the fun.

River Days After Party turns Main Street into a giant dance floor at the McDonald Street intersection on Friday, August 5 from 9 – 11 p.m. with live music provided by Stone Street Revival. Eight downtown business will be serving outdoor beverages in The Commons. All ages are invited to enjoy the party on Main Street.

Both events are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

The Midland Area River Days Festival takes place in the Farmers Market area of Downtown Midland August 4 – 7, 2022 and is an initiative of the Midland Area Community Foundation.
