April 22, 2022 – City of Midland Parks and Recreation, in partnership with the Great Lakes Loons, will host the 2022 Pitch, Hit & Run Competition on Saturday, May 7 at Dow Diamond from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.

The competition will feature pitching to a strike zone, hitting from a stationary tee, and running for time. The event is free of charge and will consist of four age groups (7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14), with girls and boys competing separately. Age will be determined as of November 15, 2022.

Participants can compete at any time from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. and winners will be notified after the event. Winners must be able to provide a birth certificate within three days of competition. The top performers from each region will be selected to attend the Team Championship in their region.

New in 2022, stay and play! The Great Lakes Loons are offering our Pitch Hit and Run participants the opportunity to take a private on-field Loons BP Viewing and a player meet and greet! In addition, each participant will receive one ticket to the Loons game on Saturday, May 7.
