Lacey Todd Promoted to City Clerk

City Clerk Lacey Todd

April 8, 2022 – The City of Midland is pleased to announce that current Deputy City Clerk Lacey Todd has been promoted to City Clerk effective April 30, 2022.

Todd began her career at the City in 2012 as a part-time office assistant for the Downtown Development Authority and City Clerk’s office. She was later promoted to Downtown Midland events coordinator in 2015 and continued to assist the City Clerk’s office during local, state, and federal elections. She was promoted to deputy city clerk in 2020.

Todd holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Saginaw Valley State University and a master’s of business administration (MBA) from Davenport University. She has also completed the Election Officials' Accreditation Curriculum through the Michigan Bureau of Elections.

“Lacey brings a commitment to public service that, combined with her education and direct work experience, will serve the community well in her new role,” said Assistant City Manager Carol Stone. ”We look forward to her leadership of the City Clerk’s office.”
