December 10, 2021 – City of Midland offices and some non-emergency services will be closed Friday, December 24 and Monday, December 27 in recognition of the Christmas holiday and Friday, December 31 in recognition of the New Year's holiday.
Residents with Friday, December 24 refuse and Friday Week 3 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Thursday, December 23. Residents with Monday, December 27 refuse and Monday Week 4 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Tuesday, December 28. Residents with Friday, December 31 refuse and Friday Week 4 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Monday, January 3. Place items at the curb no later than 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection.
The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23 and remain closed from Friday, December 24 through Monday, December 27. It will reopen for regular operating hours on Tuesday, December 28. MCTV Network offices and studio will be closed from Wednesday, December 23 at 5 p.m. through Friday, December 31. MCTV will reopen on Monday, January 3, 2022.
The City’s Sanitary Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, December 24; Monday, December 27; and Friday, December 31.
Dial-A-Ride Transportation service (DART) will be open on Thursday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) and Friday, December 31 and will observe regular phone service hours (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.) with reduced bus service hours (6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.) with last pick-up time at 5:30 p.m. Phone and bus services will be closed on Saturday, December 25 and Saturday, January 1.
