MCTV Network Receives Awards at Philo Festival of Media Arts

October 22, 2021 – The MCTV Network is pleased to announce that several of its productions received recognition and awards during the annual Philo Festival of Media Arts held virtually on Thursday, October 21. 

Hosted by the Central States Region of the Alliance for Community Media, the Philo Festival of Media Arts celebrates media producers through competition, collaboration, educational and creative content. The Philo T. Farnsworth (‘PHILO’) Award is awarded as a recognition of excellence in media creation by modern day pioneers who work to further develop the use of technology and promote the use of media in their communities. 

Videos submitted by the MCTV Network represent hours of work by many community volunteers, MCTV staff, and City staff.

Residents can enjoy MCTV Network programming via the following methods: Cable television on Charter Spectrum channels 188-191 and AT&T U-verse channel 99; streaming live and on-demand on the free MCTV Network app on Roku and Apple TV; YouTube on the MCTV Network Community Voices and City of Midland, Michigan YouTube channels; or online at Audio-only versions of government meetings and other programs can be found by searching ‘MCTV Network Community Voices’ on a podcast platform of choice.
