October 22, 2021 – The MCTV Network is pleased to announce that several of its productions received recognition and awards during the annual Philo Festival of Media Arts held virtually on Thursday, October 21.
Hosted by the Central States Region of the Alliance for Community Media, the Philo Festival of Media Arts celebrates media producers through competition, collaboration, educational and creative content. The Philo T. Farnsworth (‘PHILO’) Award is awarded as a recognition of excellence in media creation by modern day pioneers who work to further develop the use of technology and promote the use of media in their communities.
Videos submitted by the MCTV Network represent hours of work by many community volunteers, MCTV staff, and City staff.
