September 10, 2021 – Hey Midland: Let’s ride! The City of Midland invites community members to join its Planning department staff for a rolling tour of the Bay City Road corridor on Thursday, September 16 as an interactive part of the Midland City Modern master planning process.
During the event, attendees will board and ride a City of Midland Dial-A-Ride (DART) bus to experience the Bay City Road corridor via public transportation. The bus will makes several stops along the corridor to allow attendees to exit the vehicle and share what they see, feel, and experience at each stop. Topics of focus will include items related to healthy neighborhoods, walkability, accessibility, and the impact the corridor’s design has on livability, home values, safety, the environment, and social connections.
Attendees can board the bus in the parking lot of the Midland Civic Arena, 405 Fast Ice Drive. The bus will leave the Civic Arena at approximately 5:35 p.m. and return at 6:30 p.m. Dial-A-Ride buses are equipped with a lift for guests with mobility devices. Per federal law, face masks are required to be worn by all passengers regardless of vaccination status.
This event is the final Midland Moves neighborhood tour planned for 2021.
