[ARCHIVED] Midland Moves Focuses on Families for August 10 Event

August 6, 2021 – The City of Midland and Hulafrog invite parents and their children to   join City Planning department staff for an ice cream and planning playdate in Downtown Midland on Tuesday, August 10 from 3 – 4 p.m. as an interactive part of the Midland City Modern master planning process.

The event will meet in front of Pizza Sam’s, 102 W. Main Street, beginning at 3 p.m. The walk will depart Pizza Sam’s at 3:15 p.m. and take a brief stroll through Downtown Midland, ending with a playdate for kids in Chippewassee Park from 3:30 – 4 p.m. 

During the event, attendees are encouraged to share what they see, feel, and experience and discuss their visions for the future of the community. Topics will include accessibility for families; safe accommodations for walking, biking, and playing; and more. The event is free-flowing and participants can come and go as they please.

Additional Midland Moves events like this one will be planned in the future, including the next walking event in the Huron Park neighborhood on Thursday, August 19. More details will be made available soon.
