July 9, 2021 – A community’s quality of life is highly dependent on the quality of its neighborhoods, and a new survey from the City of Midland invites residents to share how they feel about where they live as part of the City Modern master planning process.

In the online survey, respondents will be asked to share about their household, neighborhood, and opinions on both what their neighborhood currently has and what it needs to be a great place to live. Questions will gather feedback on how well respondents know their neighbors, how safe and clean they believe their neighborhoods are, and more. The survey can be accessed at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/neighborhoodsurvey and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Responses should be submitted by Saturday, July 31 at midnight.

Results will be shared with the Midland Planning Commission, City staff, and the general public and will be used during the City Modern master planning process to assess the livability of the city’s neighborhoods and identify opportunities to improve or maintain residents’ quality of life.

Residents who do not have internet access or cannot complete the survey online may submit feedback and suggestions to Director of Planning & Community Development Grant Murschel at 989-837-3374 or gmurschel@midland-mi.org
