June 11, 2021 – This summer, the Grace A. Memorial Library is again proud to bring patrons a fun, mostly virtual Summer Reading Program. Kids, teens, and adults can sign up and log their reading this summer to qualify for a host of terrific prizes.
Kids and teens who complete the program will have earned a book to keep. Along the way, readers will also earn coupon books and tickets that can be used to enter drawings for amazing prize bundles.
But kids aren't the only ones who get to have fun! Adults can also participate and log reading to enter drawings to win gift cards to local businesses. Three lucky (chosen at random) adults will score a Kindle just for participating!
All patrons can sign up for the Summer Reading Program via the Library’s digital app, Beanstack, at gadml.beanstack.org.
In addition to GADML's Summer Reading Program, the Library has announced an Express Library option for patrons to physically browse a small collection of its most popular items. The Express Library will be open to the public on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. throughout the summer. Patrons may also use this time to pick up any available materials on hold without making a curbside pick-up appointment.
For more information on these and other summer activities, including events like Curbside Crafts and Storytimes, visit www.gadml.org or call 989-837-3449.
The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is located at 1710 W. St. Andrews Rd and is a service of the City of Midland. While the Library remains closed to the public due to damage sustained in the May 2020 flooding event, curbside material pick-up is available.
