[ARCHIVED] Downtown Businesses to Stay Open Later This Summer

June 4, 2021 – Starting next week, guests in Downtown Midland can shop a little later on Thursdays. Every Thursday from June 10 – October 28, many businesses in Downtown Midland will stay open until 8 p.m. or later.

 “Last summer, we heard from many visitors that they’d like more opportunities for shopping and dining later in the day,” said Downtown Events Coordinator Melissa Farley. “We brought this idea to our Downtown businesses, and the result is our Downtown After 5 program! While the current program includes one late night per week, we’re hopeful that participating businesses will see such a benefit from the program that these ‘extra hours’ will extend to other nights of the week as well.”
