[ARCHIVED] Extended: Section of Rail Trail Closed thru February 19

February 10, 2021 – The Pere-Marquette Rail Trail will remain closed from the trailhead at the Farmers Market to the Karl B. Robertson (M-20) Bridge through Wednesday as crews continue to perform debris removal from the bank along the Tittabawassee River. This section of the trail has been closed since February 1.

The trail will reopen temporarily for the weekend beginning in the afternoon of Friday, February 12 and will close early in the morning on Monday, February 15.

A detour route from the zero mile marker to Currie Parkway utilizing the sidewalk network along Ashman and Main streets is posted. Trail users who drive to the trail are encouraged to park at Emerson Park and access the trail via the connector trail at the east end of Emerson Park.

The trail is estimated to reopen by the end of the day on Friday, February 19.

The Tridge will remain open while work is underway.
