February 5, 2021 – The Midland Community Television (MCTV) Network is offering media creator workshops to residents and nonprofit organizations located in Midland County. At these workshops, attendees will learn how MCTV can help share a story to inform, communicate, educate, and entertain the community.
Workshops are offered as single-day, 3-hour classes designed to be quick, informative, and convenient. In just one session, participants will learn how to get started with producing a TV show, creating an audio podcast, putting a video creation on YouTube, and serving the community by volunteering with MCTV.
The dates for March 2021 workshops are:
- Wednesday, February 24, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
- Thursday, February 25, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required. Register by calling 989-837-3474 or stopping by the MCTV office located in the lower level of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library during regular business hours. Cost to attend is $45, which includes a $20 workshop fee and a one-year MCTV user membership for $25. To use the MCTV Network, you must be a resident of the City or County of Midland over the age of 12.
Due to COVID restrictions, enrollment will be limited. Participants will be expected to wear a mask or facial covering and maintain proper social distancing measures. A quick health screening and temperature check will be given upon arrival for the safety of staff and other workshop attendees.
