January 29, 2021 – Beginning Monday, February 1 at 8 a.m., Midland Parks and Recreation will close the Pere-Marquette Rail Trail from the trailhead at the Farmers Market to the Karl B. Robertson (M-20) Bridge in Midland for crews to perform debris removal from the bank along the Tittabawassee River.
A detour route from the zero mile marker to Currie Parkway utilizing the sidewalk network along Ashman and Main streets will be posted. Trail users who drive to the trail are encouraged to park at Emerson Park and access the trail via the connector trail at the east end of Emerson Park.
The trail is estimated to reopen by the end of the day on Friday, February 5.
The Tridge will remain open while work is underway.
