January 25, 2021 – The Midland City Council is accepting applications to fill an open position on the Board of Review. The position will fill an unexpired term to end April 30, 2023.
The Board of Review meets for the purpose of hearing appeals on the assessed value of property by property owners. The board meets three times per year: once in July, once in December, and a third time for five to ten days in March to hear property tax appeals Board members are appointed by the City Council.
Applicants must be taxpayers to the City of Midland and have been residents of the City for not less than three years.
Applications will be accepted until Friday, February 5 at 5 p.m. An application form can be found online at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/BOR or by requesting a hard copy form through the City Manager’s Office, 333 W. Ellsworth Street. Selected applicants will be contacted to interview with City Council.
