[ARCHIVED] Downtown Restaurant Blitz Campaign Underway

January 4, 2021 – Downtown Midland invites food lovers from near and far to celebrate and support its local restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic by hosting an online Downtown Restaurant Blitz social media campaign.

Every day from January 4 – 15, Downtown Midland will highlight a different restaurant on its social media channels. The campaign encourages customers to eat local during this 12-day span – and beyond - to help Downtown restaurants start the New Year with a bang.

Participating restaurants in the Downtown Restaurant Blitz include Amazing Deli, Aster, Basil Thai Bistro, Café Zinc, Crepes Et Amis, Grape Beginnings Winery, Gratzi Midland, Maru Sushi, Molasses Smokehouse, Pizza Baker, Pizza Sam’s and Proper Taco.

“Since March 2020, the COVID-19 restrictions placed upon local restaurants have made an incredible impact on their operations and, in turn, their entire businesses,” said Downtown Events Coordinator Melissa Farley. “While indoor dining remains restricted at this time, the DDA invites visitors to head Downtown to grab a takeout meal, enjoy the available outdoor dining options, and explore all that our Downtown District has to offer this winter.”

Guests can follow the Downtown Restaurant Blitz campaign by visiting Downtown Midland on Facebook and Instagram at @DowntownMidlandMI and on Twitter at @DTMidlandMI.
