[ARCHIVED] City Office, Service Hours for Thanksgiving Holiday

November 6, 2020 – Many City of Midland offices and services will be closed or operating under alternate hours on November 26 and 27 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday.

All City offices and non-emergency services will be closed on Thursday, November 26. City offices and Dial-A-Ride will be closed on Friday, November 27; however, Dial-A-Ride will maintain normal Saturday and Sunday hours. 

Refuse and recycling will not be collected on Thursday, November 26 or Friday, November 27.   Residents with Thursday, November 26 refuse and Thursday Week 4 recycling collections should place items at the curb on Wednesday, November 25.  Friday, November 26 refuse and Friday Week 4 recycling collections will take place on Monday, November 30.  Place refuse and recycling at the curb by 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection.

The City’s Sanitary Landfill will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The Landfill will be open Friday, November 27 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, November 28 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. November 28 will be the last Saturday morning landfill hours until March 2021.

Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, November 27, but will operate as normal on Saturday and Sunday.
