[ARCHIVED] Deadline Approaching, Zoom Meeting Thursday on Parks Survey

October 6, 2020 – Residents still have time to weigh in on the future of the City of Midland’s parks and recreational offerings by sharing their feedback through a survey on the City’s online public engagement platform, E-CityHall. 

The survey asks respondents to share feedback on the City’s current parks, amenities, and recreational programs as well as provide suggestions for additional amenities they would like to see offered in the future. The survey should take about 10 – 15 minutes to complete. Respondents should complete the entire survey and click “Submit” at the end to ensure their responses are recorded.

The survey can be accessed via the City’s website at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/ecityhall. Residents without Internet access or the ability to complete the online survey may pick up a printed copy of at Midland City Hall, 333 W. Ellsworth Street, or the Municipal Service Center, 4811 N. Saginaw Road, or contact Midland Parks and Recreation at 989-837-6930 to request a copy be mailed to them.

The survey will close at midnight on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

In addition, Parks & Recreation staff will host a live Zoom public input session on Thursday, October 8 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. for individuals who would prefer to share their feedback via an in-person format. The meeting can be accessed using the following credentials:

Feedback from the survey and the Zoom public input session will be used by the City Parks & Recreation Commission and Planning Commission, City staff, and the Midland City Council to review the current state of the City’s parks and recreational programs, make adjustments to current offerings, and provide guidance for future development. In addition, the results will also be included in the City’s Five Year Community Recreation Plan and the future City Modern Master Planning process.
