[ARCHIVED] Plymouth Water Tower Painting, Maintenance Begins August 31

August 28, 2020 – Beginning Monday, August 31, the City of Midland Water Department will begin a project to inspect, update, clean, and repaint the interior and exterior of the Plymouth elevated water storage tank in Plymouth Park.

The process will include draining the Plymouth tank, performing necessary upgrades, cleaning and painting the tank’s interior and exterior, disinfecting, refilling the tank, and conducting bacterial sampling. The water tower will be placed back into service after the process is complete.

During the project, the sidewalk and immediate area around the tank will be closed and should be avoided. Plymouth Park Drive will remain open to vehicle traffic.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of October, weather permitting.

Residents’ water pressure should not be impacted during these maintenance activities.
