[ARCHIVED] Mertz, Virginia Street Reconstruction Begins August 3

July 31, 2020 – Beginning Monday, August 3, crews will begin a street reconstruction project on Virginia Street and a street reconstruction and water main replacement project on Mertz Street that will close both roadways to through traffic until the end of September.  

Mertz Street will be closed to through traffic from Manor Drive to Ashman Street during construction. Virginia Street will be closed to through traffic from E. Haley Street to Eastlawn Drive.

Motorists traveling through or to a destination within the construction zone should drive with caution while work is underway. Work on both streets is estimated to be completed in September 2020.
