[ARCHIVED] City Service, Office Closures for Independence Day Holiday

June 26, 2020 – City of Midland offices and non-emergency services will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. The Jack Barstow Airport will also be unattended. 

The Sanitary Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, July 3 and closed on Saturday, July 4.

Dial-A-Ride Transportation (DART) will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. It will resume its regular operating hours on Sunday, July 5.

Friday refuse will not be collected on Friday, July 3. Instead, residents with both Friday refuse and Monday refuse and Monday Week 1 recycling collection will have their items picked up on Monday, July 6. Residents are reminded to place items at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on Monday, July 6 to ensure collection.

The City’s annual Independence Day celebration previously planned for Saturday, July 4 has been cancelled. For more information, please watch the May 18, 2020 meeting of the Midland City Council at https://bit.ly/council51820.
