September 20, 2019 – Residents are invited to “pop” into the Orchard Room of the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library on Tuesday, September 24 at 7 p.m. for a fun author event that will be bubbling with interesting information!

Joe Grimm, author of 2019 Michigan Notable Book The Faygo Book, will discuss the Faygo pop legacy that began over 100 years ago in Detroit’s “pop alley” and has since forged a bond with the city and its residents for more than a century. Attendees will learn how two Russian immigrant brothers measured out the ingredients to form a successful beverage company in dicey times in a boom-and-bust town. There may even a “pop” quiz, too!

A Faygo tasting will be held following the discussion.

For more information about this and other events, call the Reference Desk at 989-837-3449 or visit www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/library. The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library is located at 1710 W. St. Andrews Rd and is a service of the City of Midland.
