June 6, 2019 – 2019 Michigan Notable Book author Anna Clark will visit the Grace A. Dow Memorial Library on Thursday, June 20 at 7 p.m. to discuss her book The Poisoned City: Flint’s Water and the American Urban Tragedy.
The award-winning book, which was chosen as one of 20 outstanding works of fiction or nonfiction written about Michigan or by a Michigan author, details the people and events that led up to the Flint Water Crisis. Join the author as she recounts residents’ stories, government reports, and the shocking discovery of dangerous lead levels flowing through outdated and untreated pipes that poisoned an entire community and captured national media attention.
The Poisoned City: Flint’s Water and the American Urban Tragedy is currently available to check out at the Library. The author discussion will be held in the Library Auditorium.
