April 26, 2019 – The City of Midland Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Great Lakes Loons, will host the 2019 Pitch, Hit & Run Competition on Saturday, May 4. This year’s event will take place at Dow Diamond from 9 – 11 a.m.
The competition will feature pitching, hitting (from a stationary tee), and running abilities. The event is free of charge and will consist of four age groups (7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14), with girls and boys competing separately. Age will be determined as of July 17.
Pre-registration is recommended for the event. A parent/guardian-signed registration form must be completed. This can be downloaded prior to the competition at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/phr or on site at the Dow Diamond.
Participants can compete at any time from 9 – 11 a.m. Winners will be notified after the event. Winners must be able to provide a birth certificate within three days of competition.
No metal spikes allowed. In case of inclement weather, the event will be canceled. Signage will be posted at the field.
