[ARCHIVED] City Contractor Postpones Recycling Collection Until Friday

February 7, 2019 – The City of Midland’s recycling contractor, Republic Services, has announced that it has postponed recycling collection for City residents on Thursday, February 7 due to inclement weather.

Any Thursday Week 1 recycling customers who did not receive collection should leave their bins at the curb for collection on Friday, February 8. Friday Week 1 recycling customers will receive collection from Republic on Saturday, February 9.

City refuse collection for Thursday, February 7 and Friday, February 8 will not be affected. Residents are encouraged to proceed with setting out refuse items for collection as they normally would.

Residents can stay up-to-date on service changes and alerts by visiting the City’s website, www.cityofmidlandmi.gov, following the City’s Facebook and Twitter channels at @CityofMidlandMI, or by subscribing to the City’s email service at www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/cityhallnews.
