[ARCHIVED] City Postpones Refuse, Recycling Collection Until Friday, Feb. 1

January 30, 2019 – The City of Midland has announced that it has postponed refuse collection for City residents on Wednesday, January 30 and Thursday, January 31 to preserve its crews’ safety in dangerously low temperatures.

City refuse collection will resume on Friday, February 1 and Saturday, February 2. Residents with Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday refuse collection should have their items at the curb by 7:30 a.m. on Friday, February 1 to ensure collection. Monthly Heavy Item collection scheduled for this week in Area D has been postponed until Thursday, January 31.

The City’s recycling contractor, Republic Services, has suspended its service statewide until Friday, February 1. Residents with Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday Week 4 recycling collection in the City should set their bins at the curb on Friday, February 1 by 7:30 a.m. to receive collection on Friday or Saturday.
