[ARCHIVED] City Offices Close for Labor Day

The Labor Day holiday weekend is just around the corner. In recognition of the holiday, all City of Midland offices will be closed on Monday, September 1.

Refuse and recyclables will not be collected on Monday, September 1. Instead, a double pickup will be made on Tuesday, September 2. Residents who live on streets normally scheduled for Monday refuse collection and Monday week 1 recycling collection should place items at the street curb by 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to ensure collection.

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library and City of Midland Sanitary Landfill will be closed on Labor Day, but will have normal Saturday hours. Both will be closed on Sunday, August 31.

Dial-A-Ride Transportation System will not operate on Labor Day. However, buses will run during normal Saturday hours of operation.

Jack Barstow Municipal Airport will be unattended on Labor Day.
