[ARCHIVED] 20th Annual Chili & Salsa Taste-Off is September 22

September 7, 2018 - The Midland Downtown Business Association will host the 20th annual Chili & Salsa Taste-Off on Saturday, September 22nd from noon to 2 p.m. in Downtown Midland.

Chili and salsa chefs from throughout the community will be preparing their famous recipes for the mouths of many hungry tasters. Guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite recipes in several categories, while a distinguished panel of judges will also announce their top choices. Each of the winning chefs will receive an award for the best chili or salsa creation! 

Tickets will be available the day of the event for $10 (free for children 5 years and under) at ticket booths located at the intersections of Main with Rodd and Gordon streets. Tickets are also available for pre-purchase online at www.downtownmidland.com.

On the day of the event, tasters will receive voting tickets and a Frisbee plate to use as they visit each tasting table scattered throughout downtown. After sampling all of the entered chilis and salsas, attendees can cast votes for their favorites at the information booth. Awards for the winning chefs will be presented at 3 pm. under the pergola at Riverside Place.

The 20th annual Chili & Salsa Taste-Off is sponsored by The H Hotel, Quick Reliable Printing, St. Brigid Catholic School, and the Midland Downtown Business Association.
