[ARCHIVED] City Offices and Services Closed for Good Friday, Easter

March 23, 2018 – A project slated to make repairs and upgrades to the M.Co.Net fiber network will make City network, phone, and internet services unavailable for a brief period on Friday, March 30.

All City offices and services will be closed on Friday, March 30 in observance of Good Friday, so minimal disruption to the public is anticipated. Public safety, utilities, and commercial services will be restored first and are anticipated to be offline for only a few hours. The City’s phone system will continue to function for announcements and voicemail messaging. Central Dispatch (911) telephones will not be affected.

Work is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. on Friday, March 30 and conclude by late afternoon.

M.Co.Net maintains the network backbone connecting our local educational and government facilities and is owned by the City of Midland, County of Midland, and Midland County Educational Services Agency. For more information about how M.Co.Net benefits the Midland community, visit http://bit.ly/mconet.
