[ARCHIVED] City Hires Shane Bjorge as Assistant City Engineer

Headshot for Shane BjorgeDecember 8, 2017 – The City of Midland is pleased to announce the hiring of Shane Bjorge as the City’s new Assistant City Engineer earlier this week.

Shane comes to the City after spending 18 years at Dow Corning Corporation and The Dow Chemical Company, serving in various project management and engineering roles that supported infrastructure development across multiple Dow Corning campuses. Shane is a licensed professional engineer by the State of Michigan and holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University.

“Shane’s extensive professional engineering experience and knowledge of our community make him an excellent asset to our team,” said City Engineer Josh Fredrickson. ”The Engineering Department is very excited to have him on board as we look ahead to the 2018 construction season.”

The position was vacated after Fredrickson was promoted to City Engineer in September 2017.
