[ARCHIVED] Washington Street to Close Temporarily for Utility Work

July 27, 2017 – A portion of Washington Street will be closed from mid-morning through early afternoon tomorrow, July 28, as part of a Consumers Energy project.

Washington will be closed from Sugnet Road to Cruz Drive and closed to through traffic from Wheeler Street to Cruz Drive. Sugnet will be reduced to one lane in both directions east and west of Washington with traffic regulated via flag control.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes around the closure. The road should be reopened to traffic by the afternoon on Friday, July 28.
