June 9, 2017 – It’s time to celebrate our upcoming streetscape! The City of Midland invites residents downtown for a community-wide construction kick-off event to commemorate the start of the Dig In Midland project.
This free, family-friendly event will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14 on Main Street in the block between Townsend and Rodd Streets. Planned activities include a shovel-turning ceremony, a “touch-a-truck” equipment encounter and sand-digging activity for kids, construction-themed giveaways, and more. Remarks from project donors and City officials will begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by the shovel-turning ceremony.
Guests can find parking on Ashman, Rodd, and Larkin Streets, near the Farmers Market, in the Larkin Street Parking Garage, or in the City’s B-Lot on the corner of Ashman and Larkin.
