Fourth of July Celebration
Monday, July 4th, 2022 * 8:00 p.m. * Dow Diamond Lawn
This Year's Event Sponsored by
ENTERTAINMENT
Join us as we celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks, food and fun! The year’s 4th of July Celebration includes music from Stone Street Revival, an 8-piece horn band that plays great radio hits from 60's, 70's, and 80's. SSR plays great harmonies and will play the tunes that most bands won’t try! Stone Street Revival will rock out on the front lawn of the Dow Diamond at 8:00 p.m. followed by the crown jewel of the evening, the annual fireworks display at dusk.
The fireworks will be launched from the St. Charles Softball Diamonds. To accommodate the launch, St. Charles Street and Towsley Street will be closed from 6 a.m. on Monday, July 4 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5. Crews will also close the Chippewa Trail between the Tridge and Whitman Drive, including the Chippewa Trail leg of the Tridge, on July 4 from 6 a.m. to midnight.
At dusk (roughly 10 p.m.), guests will be treated to an outstanding Fourth of July fireworks display. Fireworks will be visible from the outside grounds of Dow Diamond, Founders Park, Whiting Overlook Park, and other downtown locations. Please be aware that buildings and other permanent structures may obstruct views of the fireworks show. To find the best seat, please ensure you have an open area in front of you. In addition to the fireworks, vendors will be on hand with your favorite food and beverages to keep your family full. Bring your friends, family, and your lawn chairs and blankets to the event of the summer!
FOR YOUR SAFETY
For the safety and enjoyment of all spectators, personal fireworks like sparklers, firecrackers, and other items will be prohibited in city parks. As an additional safety measure, please consider leaving your pets at home while you enjoy the fireworks event. Police officers will patrol the parks during the fireworks spectacular.
