Walk Midland Program

Congrats to our 2020 Winner, Cindy James! Cindy's June 30, 2020 registration was the lucky slip drawn. Thanks to everyone who came out in record numbers (1228!) to participate this year. See you in 2021!

Come Get Fit for Free!

The Walk Midland program encourages participants to walk an approximately 2-mile walking route. The 2020 program begins on Sunday, June 14 and ends on Wednesday, August 5. Participants fill out a brief registration form at the start of each walk.

The Socially Distanced Version

Participants will see changes to this year's program in order to maintain safety for all involved. Please view the list of these changes below:
  • Walkers are asked to walk in groups of less than 10
  • When registering please bring your own writing utensil. OR, bring your mailing labels and stick them right on!
  • At every walking location, a winner will be drawn and a name will be posted for all to see. There will be no group gathering at the end of the walk.
  • We are keeping it local! This year's daily prizes will be a $5 gift certificate to a local business.
  • There will likely be no formal end of the program gathering/drawing. This will likely take place via videoconferencing.
  • The prize is still a weekend at the Grand Hotel over Labor Day; but there is no Mackinac Bridge Walk in 2020.
  • Please wear a mask when registering to walk. You do not need to walk with a mask unless you wish to do so.

New in 2020 - Thursday walks at MidMichigan Medical Center are now at noon!
